Visual inspection of welds is a cost-effective method and should take place before, during and after welding in accordance with a particular welding process.
Visual inspection requires good eyesight, adequate lighting, a ruler, a weld size gauge, magnifying glass and a straight edge for inspection of straightness,
alignment and perpendicularity.
